In 1982, I graduated from a local college with a degree in Data Processing. I then proceeded, for the next 35 years, to work in almost every aspect of the IT profession. Everything from programming to mainframe/distributed systems administration to backup/recover and finally database administration, just to name a few.

 

In 2017, I decided it was time for me to retire and play. My idea of play was to return to my love of programming and take up iOS app development. I signed up for a number of online courses and proceeded to learn Swift/Xcode. I developed and published my first iOS app, TipCalcPlus, in August 2018. Exciting time!

 

Recently I decided that I needed to branch out and develop for both the iOS and Android platforms and so have taken up to learning Flutter/Dart. Making this switch has set me back a bit but will be much better in the long run.
